My name is Eman Ashkar. I’m 23 years old and was born and raised in Oak Lawn Illinois. I am an undergraduate student at Governors State University, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Social Sciences. I received my Assosicates in Science from Moraine Valley Community College in the fall of 2016. I chose to go into Early Childhood Education because we build the foundation for the potential success for students; therefore, it’s a crucial time period in their lives. I’m looking forward to being student teaching in the fall of 2019 and receiving my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education following that.

I’m currently an actively involved member in Kappa Delta Pi, Student Education Assosciation (SEA), and Tau Sigma. Being in these different clubs/ is very important to keep me an active member of my community. Growing up, I have always been involved in clubs and extra curricular actives in support and represent my school and community. In addition, whenever I have free time I enjoy volunteering with before an after school programs for Early Childhood. Some of my hobbies include playing with makeup, and spending time with my family.
